Owner of Refurbished with Love, Denise Carballo, possesses the gift of combining artistry and delicate craftsmanship to deliver a well thought out and beautiful product. Growing up watching her architect father fix anything at home sparked her interest in repairing the broken and making the ugly pretty. At an early age Denise would figure out how to restore furniture for friends and family, quickly turning a natural talent into a hobby that has over the years become not only a career, but a way of life.

As her fan base grew and demands for her expert eye became more frequent, Denise decided to leave her corporate public relations job and use her gift to help others beautify their homes. Word of mouth soon spread throughout the New York metro area, and today Denise counts several interior designers among the lucky clients who look forward to transforming a personal space with an old piece made new, a found piece made fabulous.

Through Refurbished with Love, Denise is able to reach an audience beyond the typical festival fan and friend-of-a-friend. The company takes on custom orders that include re-upholstery and curtain design in addition to making linens and pillows of all sizes, rehabilitating antiques and modernizing outdated furniture according to client specifications. For Denise, the best part of the process is watching her clients fall in love with their pieces again.
